Initially, Atlee was in talks with Allu Arjun for a pan-India action entertainer. However, their discussions ended prematurely. A source close to Atlee mentioned, “They were definitely in talks, but it was at a very primary stage. The collaboration was never finalized as was being speculated in the media. Atlee is still working on the script and hasn't locked anyone yet. It would have been great to see both of them teaming up on a massive project, but, as of now, Allu Arjun and Atlee’s film is not happening.”

There were rumors in the South Indian media that the project's cancellation was due to Atlee’s demand for a hefty remuneration fee of 80 crore. However, these claims have been dismissed as “baseless conjectures.” Reports clarified that the decision was based on mutual preferences, and Atlee and Allu Arjun share mutual respect.

Currently, the film has no fixed production timeline, but it is expected to start in the first quarter of next year, depending on the lead actor's availability. Atlee has approached Salman Khan for this film, but the discussions are still in the very early stages.
