‘Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein’ to re-release in theatres on THIS date

Indian cinema has suddenly seen a surge in the concept of re-releasing films in theatres. It all strated a while back and fans got a chance to witness their favourite cult classics back on the big screen. Recently we saw how ‘Tamasha’, ‘Rockstar’ ‘Laila Majnu’ and other films created a rage upon their re-release in the cinemall halls. Now joining the bandwagon is yet another cult classic, the 2001 romantic film Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein, starring Dia Mirza, R Madhavan, and Saif Ali Khan in pivotal roles. 

The film produced by Vashu Bhagnani's Pooja Entertainment became a cult for the millennials, and to date, its charm and craze are intact among the Bollywood buffs. The good news is that this cult romance is re-releasing in theatres on the 30th of August.

Reacting to this news, Pooja Entertainment's Jackky Bhagnani is quite elated. He calls the film the ultimate classic romance of the 2000s and says, "This film holds a very special place in my heart, as it was my first project as an Assistant Director. I was quite young at the time, and being part of the AD team gave me the incredible opportunity to work closely with Maddy, Saif, and Dia on set. It was truly inspiring to witness such talented performers in action and to be part of what would become a cult classic. Even today, the film enjoys immense popularity among the youth, with its beautiful melodies that continue to sound fresh and captivating and we are really glad to bring this back to our audiences for them to enjoy."

What also makes Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein a classic are the film's songs. Its tunes are a favorite on social media even today. ‘Zara Zara’, ‘Sach Keh Raha Hai Deewana’ and ‘Dilko Tumse Pyaar Hua’ are amongst the tunes that still trend on Instagram reels and have kept the folks hooked to them. 

Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein (RHTDM), released in 2001, is a romantic drama directed by Gautham Menon. The story revolves around Maddy (R. Madhavan), a carefree and mischievous young man who falls deeply in love with Reena (Dia Mirza), a beautiful and traditional girl.

Maddy’s love, however, faces a major obstacle when he discovers that Reena is already engaged to Rajeev (Saif Ali Khan), a successful and well-mannered NRI. In a bid to win her heart, Maddy impersonates Rajeev, leading to a complex love triangle filled with moments of humor, emotion, and heartbreak.
