When Kareena Kapoor revealed she was hesitant about having a family but Saif supported her decision

Kareena Kapoor has been relentless in her impressive choices and body of work throughout the years. The actress previously shared that she loves being a mother to Taimur and Jeh. She also mentioned that her husband Saif Ali Khan backed her decision to have a family while continuing her acting career, as she didn’t want to sacrifice either.

In her 2021 book, Pregnancy Bible, Kareena Kapoor discussed her personal life in detail. She expressed that she equally loves being a mother and acting. She didn’t plan to sacrifice either and reflected deeply on her choice to start a family.

"I thought people would see me differently. But Saif told me I could do it all. He and I have worked hard to build a strong foundation for our relationship, and I truly believe my kids will always have that to stand on. And, hopefully, Jeh will be as confident as Taimur, because of his parents," she said.

Alongside this, the 44-year-old actress also discussed the guidance her mother-in-law, Sharmila Tagore, provided her. In one excerpt from her book, she noted that Tagore advised her to pursue whatever she desired but with confidence. Praising her as a "true inspiration," the actress emphasized how the iconic actress continued to excel in films even after marriage and motherhood.

The Jab We Met actress mentioned that her mother was also a strong role model for her. She shared that her parents encouraged her to keep acting even after starting a family.

"So I thought, what the heck! I plunged headlong into not one but two pregnancies and I now have these two tots in my life who make every day feel a little crazy, a little special, a little exhausting, and a little rewarding," Kareena further wrote.

Kareena married Saif on October 16, 2012. The couple welcomed their first child in 2016 and their second in 2021, naming them Taimur and Jeh. On the professional front, Kareena will next appear in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, starring Ajay Devgn. It is set to release on Diwali 2024.
