Priyanka Chopra Opens Up About Challenges Filming 'The Bluff'

Priyanka Chopra recently shared her experiences filming her upcoming movie, The Bluff, which was shot in Australia. Despite her successful career, Priyanka admitted there were tough days during the shoot. She spoke candidly about these moments in a new interview, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and gratitude.

In her conversation with Vogue India, Priyanka said, “I have bad days just like everyone else, but I remind myself what a privilege it is to have all that I do, and I stop complaining and go do my job.” She further elaborated, “I put my feelings aside and deal with them when I get home.” These words reflect her determination to stay focused on her work despite the emotional challenges.

The film's shoot in Australia was made easier by the presence of Priyanka’s mother, Dr. Madhu, and her daughter, Malti. However, Priyanka also noted the difficulties of being far from home. “It’s been amazing to have them with me in Australia, but if I am being totally honest, it’s also really challenging and somewhat isolating to be so far away from everything,” she confessed. Priyanka’s husband, Nick Jonas, is currently on tour with the Jonas Brothers, but he manages to visit her when possible, providing much-needed support.

The Bluff is set in the 19th-century Caribbean and features Priyanka in the role of a former female pirate. The story follows her journey to protect her family from the consequences of her past. The film’s production will kick off in Australia under the direction of Frank E. Flowers. Known for co-writing the acclaimed film Bob Marley: One Love, Flowers is expected to bring his cinematic expertise to this new project.

The film is produced by AGBO’s Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Michael Disco, alongside Cinestar Pictures’ Cisely Saldana and Mariel Saldana. The collective experience of these producers, coupled with the unique setting and storyline, promises to make The Bluff a highly anticipated release.
