Priyanka Chopra arrives in Mumbai for 'Paani's release amid Nick Jonas' laser incident

Global star Priyanka Chopra is back in India for a brief visit, and her arrival has already made waves. The actress landed in Mumbai on October 16, ahead of the highly anticipated release of her Marathi production Paani, scheduled to hit theaters on October 18, 2024. Known for her impeccable style, Priyanka sported a casual yet chic look at the airport.

Dressed in a light gray full-sleeved top and matching joggers, Priyanka paired her outfit with a cap and sunglasses, looking effortlessly stylish. The actress, who is often seen blending comfort with fashion, waved at the photographers with a warm smile and greeted them with a traditional namaste. While the paparazzi requested her to pose for more pictures, Priyanka cheerfully informed them, “Main hun 2 din” (I am here for two days) before bidding them goodbye and getting into her car.

Priyanka's return to India comes just days before the release of Paani, a film close to her heart. Directed by Addinath M Kothare, the film is based on the true story of ‘Jaldoot’ Hanumant Kendre and the struggles surrounding water scarcity. The movie, starring Subodh Bhave, Kishor Kadam, Addinath Kothare, and Rucha Vaidya, has already earned critical acclaim, winning the Best Film on Environment Conservation at the 66th National Film Awards. Priyanka, alongside her mother Dr. Madhu Chopra, is a producer on the project under their banner Purple Pebble Pictures.

As Priyanka arrived in India, her husband, Nick Jonas, faced an unsettling incident during a Jonas Brothers concert in Prague. A video surfaced online showing Nick abruptly leaving the stage, reportedly after a red laser light was aimed at his head. He quickly signaled to his security and ran off, while his brothers Kevin and Joe remained on stage. Fans shared their concern for Nick, as the footage quickly went viral.

Professionally, Priyanka has been keeping busy with her international projects, including the second season of her spy-thriller series Citadel, where she reprises her role as agent Nadia.
