Prithviraj Sukumaran had almost rejected 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Role'

Prithviraj Sukumaran's return to Hindi cinema with "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" almost didn't happen, but thanks to the persuasive efforts of director Prashanth Neel, he found himself stepping into a diabolical antagonist role in the Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer.

According to a report from News18 Prithviraj recounts how it was during the shooting of the climax for "Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire" that he discussed his scheduling dilemma with Prashanth. Initially hesitant due to date conflicts, Prithviraj was eventually swayed by Prashanth's encouragement, who sensed his underlying desire to be a part of the project.

He said “While shooting for the climax of Salaar, I was talking to Prashanth about this nice and wonderful script that Ali Abbas Zafar narrated to me. I told him that I’ve been offered a role in the film but I won’t be able to do it because of date issues."

He further continued “I spoke to Prashanth for about 20 minutes about the film and the script. That’s when he told me that it really looks like I want to do it. He said, ‘Knowing you, if you really let it go, you’ll feel rotten.’ And he was absolutely right. If I wasn’t a part of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, I would’ve been kicking myself after watching it,” he tells us.

Breaking his usual pattern of focusing on one project at a time, Prithviraj adjusted his calendar to accommodate "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" alongside his commitments to "Salaar" and Karan Johar's "Sarzameen."

Reflecting on his recent success with the Malayalam film "Aadujeevitham," released in other languages as "The Goat Life," Prithviraj shares the film's impressive box office performance, raking in Rs 35.6 crore domestically within five days. With strong earnings across various regions, the film's steady collections underscore its popularity among audiences.
