Prithviraj Sukumaran's wife Supriya Menon gets secret member of Tamil Rockers arrested

Over the year, the piracy website Tamil Rockers has proved to be a curse for producers. Films get leaked in hours, and at times, even before they hit the cinema halls. Today, the Kerala Cyber Crime Police has arrested Jeb Stephen Raj. He was picked up from Thiruvananthapuram as he was recording Dhanush’s Raayan in a theatre. The man, 33, is from Madurai in Tamil Nadu. The piracy website Tamil Rockers distributes pirated movies online. 

The Malayalam movie Guruvayurappan Ambalanadai was found on Tamil Rockers just a day after its theatrical release. It is a comedy about a man who wows never to marry after his girlfriend married someone else. Five years later, he is all set to be hitched but he finds out something about his bride’s extended family. Will he marry or decided to opt out of the union? It stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Basil Joseph and Nikhila Vimal in lead roles. Sukumaran’s wife Supriya Menon is the producer of the movie. When she saw the film leaked on Tamil Rockers just a day after its release, she reported it to Kerala’s cybercrime department. 

When Stephen Raj was investigation, the cops found many pirated copies of Kalki and Maharaja on him. It seems his methodology was to seal the phone with the cup holder on multiplex seats. He was paid Rs 5,000 for every new movie as per his admission. 

Raj was staying in a guest house lodging in Thiruvananthapuram for more than a year. He had a secret connection with Tamil Rockers. It seems he used a high-end phone costing a lakh. Quite a bit of pirated content was found there. Since years, police want to nab the main person behind Tamil Rockers. The film fraternity has been deeply harassed by them.
