Paris Olympics 2024: Taapsee Pannu's reaction to husband Mathias Boe's retirement post is hilarious

India’s badminton coach Mathias Boe has announced his retirement. This comes two days after Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj  Rankireddy bowed out of the quarterfinal after facing a loss against Malaysia. It was a closely contested match where the Malaysian displayed some exceptional gamesmanship. Mathias Boe wrote a long note about how hard Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy worked for the Paris Olympics 2024. He said that it was time to hand up his boots when it came to badminton coaching. Taapsee Pannu is also in France to cheer for the Indian team and also celebrate her birthday. 

Mathias Boe also said that he is ending his career as a badminton coach. He said he is too old to continue. His post read, “For me, my coaching days ends here, I’m not. Going to continue in India or anywhere else, for now at least. I have spend too much time in a badminton hall and it’s also pretty stressful to be a coach, I’m a tired old man.” Taapsee Pannu reacted on this saying, “But also now u r a married man. U need to take a step back. I need to come back home from work everyday to ready dinner and cleaning in order. So chop chop.” 

Fans of Indian badminton thanked him for his dedicated service for Indian players. A fan wrote, “Mathias, your dedication and passion have truly shone through in your coaching, and the progress of Satwik and Chirag under your guidance is a testament to your incredible work. While it’s sad to see you step away, your contribution to Indian badminton will always be remembered and cherished. Thank you for the memories and for being a part of their journey. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours.”

Mathias Boe has had a great career in badminton. He was gold medalist at the 2015 European Games and a silver medal winner at the 2012 Summer Olympics. It seems he met Taapsee Pannu in 2012, and they became friends immediately. On March 2024, they married after a long distance relationship of 11 years.
