Taapsee Pannu Discusses Nepotism and the Unity Among Industry Insiders in a Recent Interview

Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu recently shared her insights on the dynamics between actors from different backgrounds. Known for her roles in movies like Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba and Khel Khel Mein, Taapsee spoke candidly about the contrast between industry insiders and those who enter the field from outside.

In a recent chat with ANI, Taapsee revealed that actors who come from a film industry background, often referred to as "nepotism kids," have taught her valuable lessons in unity and support. She noted, "One really good thing I have learned from them is how to stay together, stick together, and support each other. This is something we, the outsiders, often lack."

Taapsee further elaborated on how those from outside the industry often grapple with insecurities and competition among themselves. While respect and appreciation for each other’s work are present, she feels that the sense of standing by one another, regardless of a film's success or failure, is more pronounced among industry insiders. "Deep down, many of us from outside end up feeling insecure about each other," she said.

She praised the way industry kids recommend and support each other, seeing it as a positive aspect that outsiders could benefit from. The sense of camaraderie and mutual support among them is something she admires and considers a valuable lesson for everyone in the industry.

On the work front, Taapsee’s film Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, a romantic thriller, released on Netflix on August 9, 2024. The film, directed by Jayprad Desai and written by Kanika Dhillon, features Vikrant Massey, Sunny Kaushal, and Jimmy Shergill. Meanwhile, her comedy drama Khel Khel Mein, which hit theaters on August 15, stars Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film delves into the intriguing game of uncovering secrets among friends.
