Pakistani artistes are in a VULNERABLE position: Swara Bhaskar

Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar thinks Pakistani actors who have refrained from commenting on the September 18 attack which killed 19 Indian soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir, are helpless about reacting to it.

Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar thinks Pakistani actors who have refrained from commenting on the September 18 attack which killed 19 Indian soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir, are helpless about reacting to it.

"Art and artistes should not be attached with politics. Pakistani artistes are in a vulnerable position; they are helpless... Keeping in mind that just three months ago, one of Pakistan's best known singers, Amjad Sabri, was gunned down by the terrorists," Swara said on the sidelines of the seventh Jagran Film Festival here on Friday.

"I think the people of Pakistan themselves are also a victim of terrorism," added the actress who has visited Pakistan twice.

Pakistani actors like Fawad Khan, who have worked in India, are being widely condemned in the country for keeping their comments reserved in slamming the attack on Indian soldiers.

Swara, who is the daughter of well-known strategic analyst C Uday Bhaskar, said: "The entire issue (Uri attack) is very emotional for us. The way the soldiers have been killed is very much shameful. At this moment, the entire country is grief-stuck and fuming as well. This is quite justified.

"We have a responsible government and army. They are doing their work rightfully and we should let them tackle the situation."

At the Jagran Film Festival, Swara received the Best Actress for "Nil Battey Sannata", and she was happy about it.

Tell me ki kaisa lagta hai jab aap sirf 2 din apni family ko contact nhi kar paate...aah hurt hota hai right so just think about those soldiers n their families jo 6 months kisi apne ka wait karte hai n then next month usi apne ki dead body ko welcome karte hain...have u ever thought about that

I have realised one thing in this whole thing Pakistani support Pakistan right or wrong
But Indians can't do the same even if it is correct things for whatever reason
Indian artists think it's their right to be safe at home, sleep and earn money around the world.. And just because if anyone signs up to be a solider then it is their duty to simply protect and not think about their own life. They should not even sleep in peace at night.
Forget about Pakistani artists condemning uri seems to me like many Indian artists like Swara Salman don't care about uri.
I'm sorry but I have started to wonder is it only about the small amount of money that comes when their movies release in Pakistan that matters so much to this actors.

Oh god fed up of Bollywood for heaven sake u people mind ur business we understood very well that for u guys business first then nation u need not keep reminding us with ur stupid statements time and again .when ur movies are going to release u guys act sweetly and then when they r not speak like this rubbish .as raees is going to release srk and Aamir all shutting their mouths and Salman as usual acts like a moron ,and for heaven sake boycotting pak is not politics it's about nationalism and solidarity of countrymen esp army.yesterday ur so called Fawad khan he said Indians don't have big heart yes we don't have we r fed up of backstabbing .why should we have big heart when our army people are dying everyday we are not sitting here wearing bangles that whatever u do we will see peace peace .enough is enough ,u Bollywood will be thought good lessons in coming time just how it happened with raees and fan.once stardom is taken off from u ur nothing just a normal citizen ,we r at faults for giving u that stardom
