The much-anticipated wedding of actors Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala is set to take place soon. The couple, who made their engagement official with an intimate ceremony earlier this year, will marry on December 4 at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad.

For those unfamiliar, Chaitanya is the grandson of the legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR) and the son of actor Nagarjuna. Annapurna Studios holds deep sentimental value for the Akkineni family, as it is a symbol of their long and illustrious legacy in the Telugu film industry. According to sources close to the couple, Chaitanya has chosen this iconic venue to begin his marital journey, seeking the blessings of his late grandfather at a place that holds such personal and professional significance for the family.

Sources close to the couple told a daily recently that while they had their heart set on ‘four to five locations’, they have zeroed in on Annapurna Studios to honour Chaitanya’s family legacy. The muhurtam is set, but sources have yet to reveal if they’ll have a morning or evening wedding, even if it’s clear that it’ll be a traditional Telugu wedding. Much like the engagement ceremony in Hyderabad and the goduma raayi pasupu danchadam (crushing turmeric) ceremony in Sobhita’s hometown, Visakhapatnam, the guest list is expected to be tight.

Chaitanya and Sobhita, who began dating in 2022, made their relationship public after their engagement earlier this year. Their vacations together often sparked media speculation about their relationship, but they confirmed the news on Instagram. Their first public appearance as a couple took place at the ANR Awards ceremony, a meaningful event that also paid tribute to Chaitanya’s family legacy.

Chaitanya’s previous marriage to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu ended in 2021. On the work front, he will soon appear in Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, alongside Sai Pallavi. Sobhita, meanwhile, was last seen in the Zee5 film Love, Sitara, directed by Vandana Kataria.
