Every year the entire country celebrates Holi in an exotic style. But what's Holi without some foot-tapping numbers that have you grooving? From the streets, to parks and malls, every corner has its own Holi special playlist! Only to add more flavor to the colors, here's the DJ presenting to you those songs which are never missed out at any Holi occasion!
Rang
Barse - Silsila
This
track is one of the most popular and evergreen Holi songs known in Bollywood,
and still continues to blaze in loud speakers at every stop across the country.
During the reign of Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha, this song was brilliantly
composed by Shivkumar Sharma and Hariprasad Chaurasia. After the release of
this album, there wasn't anyone who could resist it. If you haven't heard it yet,
you are surely missing out!
Holi
Khele Raghuveera - Baghban
The
song is perhaps one of the best picturised songs of Bollywood, and is kicked
off with its high notes by Sukhwinder Singh; and later on by the vocals of
supreme artists: Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, and the loudest of them all,
Amitabh Bachchan. This fast track does not seize in making you dance to its
tunes although it received a lot of criticism for being a direct copy of
"Rang Barse". If you are at any Holi party, you definitely cannot avoid
dancing to this track and its beats!
Holi
Ke Din - Sholay
If
you know the story of Thakur and Gabbar Singh, then you definitely know what
this song is all about! Beautifully pictured in colorful scenery, the music is
composed by R.D. Burman and has lyrics done by Anand Bakshi. The
duo have only come together once, and that was to produce this master piece!
After you listen to this song, you are in no mood of stopping, and the Holi
spirit gets to you even without the intoxication of bhaang!
Holi
Aayi Re Kanhai - Mother India
Naushad
Ali always considered Shamshad Begum as one of his favorites. After a lot of
hits under his supervision, Begum used her rustic voice to portray an
irresistible excitement of rush dancing in the form of this song. Because the
movie gained a lot of acclaim at the Box Office, this song reached quite a
large audience and soon people were gripped by it, perhaps only to remember the
remarkable movie.
Do
Me A Favor Let's Play Holi - Waqt, The Race Against
Time
All
dressed in pristine white attires along with splashing colors in the
background, this song has the perfect showcase of a Holi celebration. This
track is a mixture of Hindi-English lyrics in the vocals of Anu Malik and
Sunidhi Chauhan. Both artists have visibly put their best efforts to make the
song seem more fun to listen to while playing with colors! If you do happen to
listen to this song soon, you must make a note as to how Anu Malik goes about
pronouncing Holi and Boli in a rather jolly accent, along with Sunidhi singing
in a completely contrasting voice from the nasal to compliment Priyanka!
Ang
Se Ang Lagaana - Darr
Can
anyone seem to forget Juhi Chawla's adorable smile and Shah Rukh Khan's
award-winning negative acting in Darr? This track portrays the better version of the
movie in an extremely humorous manner, sung by Alka Yagnik, Sudesh Bhosle,
Vinod Rathod and Devki Pandit. All four singers give a loud and exceptional
performance, only to bring more bright and light to the song. It is definitely
a treat to watch!
Keeping the safety and environmental issues in mind, we at
BollyCurry encourage you to enjoy every bit of all these songs this Holi! Bura
na maano, Holi hai!
