Former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson has been roped in for Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger.

Mike Tyson was the king of boxing from 1985 to 2005.

He was awarded titles like Iron Mike and Kid Dynamite. After this he was awarded 'The Best Man on the Planet'.

Tyson was the uncontested heavyweight champion. This is the first time that Tyson will be seen boxing in Bollywood.

To introduce him, Karan has shared a video on his Instagram handle with which Karan wrote,

'For the first time in the history of Indian cinema, the real King of the Ring will be seen on the screen of Indian cinema. Welcome Mike Tyson to the Liger team'.

Earlier this year Karan had taken to Twitter and shared that the movie will see a theatrical release. Alongside the post, Karan shared a clip featuring Ananya and Charmme Kaur.

In the video, the Student of The Year 2 star shared that the movie will be released in 5 Indian languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

The film was set to release in theatres on September 9.

However, due to the uncertainty surrounding theatres reopening, the makers decided to postpone the film.

In June, Vijay Deverakonda took to Twitter to quash Liger’s Rs 200 crore OTT deal rumour, saying that it’s too little and he will do more in theatres.
