Karan Johar teases new announcement: Fans wonder if it's Ananya-Lakshya or Ibrahim-Khushi film

Jigra, the last movie from Dharma tanked at the box office despite having Alia Bhatt as the lead. The film production firm has been in the news with reports of Adar Poonawalla buying a 50 per cent stake in the company. The last clean hit for the firm was Good Newwz way back in 2019. In 2023, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaaani did well at the box office. Last night, Karan Johar said today they will be announcing a new project. It is a true blue Dharma Movie with its theme of Pyaar, Ishq Aur Mohabbat.

Fans flooded the comments sections with names of Ananya Panday and Lakshya. People said they were fed up of the action movies in cinema halls and wanted romance back on the big screen. Lakshya was excellent in the train hijack movie Kill. On the otherhand, Ananya Panday’s Call Me Bae was much appreciated. She is faring the best amongst all the star kids launched by Dharma Movies of late. But some feel itis the project of Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor they’re talking about. Karan Johar is producing a movie for them. It will be directed by some of the makers from his stable.  

Others told him it was high time he stopped launching star kids and got back to the director’s chair. Some said they wanted a mature romance with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shahid Kapoor. OG fans said it was time he reunited Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in one more film. Everyone will be happy to see him as a director. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani was a success, and it has his trademark. Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment is also seeing success with Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives. Netflix has given a green signal for a fourth season too.
