Akshay Kumar fans want him to make a strong comeback in 2025 with films like Jolly LLB3, Bhoot Bangla and the C Sankaran Nair biopic. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions announced the movie some time back. It also stars R Madhavan and Ananya Panday. The biopic will come in theatres in Holi 2025. The lawyer was a famous personality in India from 1906 to 1908. Born in South India, he was the head of the Madras Bar and also elected president of the Indian National Congress. Fans have been complaining how Akshay Kumar is extremely over exposed. They said that he needs to pace out his films in a better manner.
As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, Karan Johar has requested Akshay Kumar to rethink on the release date of Jolly LLB 3. The date for the legal drama is April 10, 2025 which is just 20 days after the C Sankaran Nair biopic. A source told the publication, “Given that both the films are in the courtroom space, Karan has requested Akshay to take the release of Jolly LLB 3 ahead by a few weeks.” It seems Akshay Kumar has sensed the concerns of Karan Johar in this matter. However, the makers of Jolly LLB 3 are keen to cash in on the summer holdaiy period. The movie will get multiple holidays in its first two weeks. Overlapping can be harmful for both the films.
The source further said, “He understands the issues raised by Karan, as both films are in the same genre, and hence has started discussions with producers of Jolly 3. The movie has great recall value for everyone. This time, Arshad Warsi is back with Akshay Kumar. In 2024, fans rued how a bad clash marred the chances of Khel Khel Mein. Akshay Kumar, Ammy Virk and Fardeen Khan’s film was a decent watch but was caught in a three-way clash.
Karan Johar’s Jigra has underperformed at the box office. The teaser got a good response but the film just did not interest the audience. It got poor response even from the Telugu market where it was heavily promoted with an event attended by Rana Daggubati, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Trivikram Srinivas.
