In the series, she mesmerized viewers not only with her performance but also with her fabulous wardrobe choices. Ananya has disclosed that the pink wedding lehenga donned by her character Bae in the series is a garment she envisions wearing for her own wedding.
In a recent chat with Instant Bollywood, Ananya Panday spilled the beans that her top pick from the series Call Me Bae is the wedding attire. She gushed about its absolute beauty, highlighting the exceptional hair and makeup as well. She said, "My favorite outfit would be her wedding dress — it was absolutely stunning. Even the hair and makeup were incredible. They used real flowers in my hair, and the train was long. It was this beautiful blush pink, and I would actually want it for my wedding whenever it happens in my life."
For those unaware, the wedding lehenga showcased in Call Me Bae drew inspiration from Kiara Advani's wedding ensemble. Interestingly, the entire wedding look was fashioned after Kiara's nuptials with Sidharth Malhotra.
Ananya Panday revealed that she snagged a couple of outfits from the show, like an oversized blue sweatshirt and a swimsuit. She also praised the newspaper print jacket worn on the character's first workday for its fun vibe. Considering her upcoming journalist role, she found the idea amusing and suitable for her character.
During the India Today Mind Rocks Youth Summit 2024, she opened up about the hurdles she faces as an actress. Ananya voiced her frustration at being advised against delving into political or sensitive topics. Despite these limitations, she emphasized the significance of ensuring her work reflects her own ethical and societal beliefs.
Ananya Panday shared her gratitude for how Call Me Bae tackles the MeToo movement, highlighting its emphasis on women's empowerment and associated themes. She acknowledged that although she may not have had the chance to broach such subjects openly in her personal life, she values the significance of addressing them through her work.
Moreover, the actress from Call Me Bae stressed her commitment to choosing roles that mirror her core values. Ananya Panday's upcoming projects include starring in Vikramaditya Motwane's thriller CTRL, where she will be joined by Devika Vatsa, Kamakshi Bhat, Suchita Trivedi, Samit Gambhir, Ravish Desai, and Aparshakti Khurana. The film is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on October 4, 2024. Additionally, she will be seen in Karan Singh Tyagi's period-drama Shankara, sharing the screen with Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan.
