Kangana Ranaut stands by Raveena Tandon following disturbing street attack

Kangana Ranaut has voiced her support for Raveena Tandon following an incident on a Mumbai street where Raveena was reportedly attacked. On her Instagram Stories, Kangana described the event as "absolutely alarming" and criticized the "road rage outbursts," emphasizing that "those people must be reprimanded."

Kangana wrote, 

"What happened to Raveena Tandon ji is absolutely alarming; had there been 5-6 more people in the opposite group, she would have been lynched; we condemn such road rage outbursts; those people must be reprimanded. They must not get away with such violent and poisonous behaviour."

According to a report from PTI, citing a Mumbai Police official, investigations revealed that Raveena's car did not collide with anyone. A video posted on social media showed a man claiming that Raveena’s driver had hit his mother. He alleged that when he confronted her, Raveena assaulted his mother. He said the incident occurred while walking with his mother, sister, and niece near the actor’s house.

Police reviewed CCTV footage from the area where the incident took place. The footage showed women near Raveena's car but confirmed they were not hit. The video depicted a group accusing Raveena and her driver of assaulting three women.

The incident happened on Carter Road in Bandra on Saturday night. While no FIR was registered, an entry was made in the station diary at the Khar police station. 

The police reported that after Raveena exited her vehicle to address the crowd, she was allegedly pushed and hit. In the video, the man claimed that Raveena was intoxicated and began assaulting the woman after stepping out of the car.

Following the altercation, a group of people confronted Raveena and her driver inside a building on Carter Road. The incident escalated after the driver reversed the car. The viral video shows a woman alleging that Raveena and her driver caused her nose to bleed.

Both parties later went to the Khar police station and provided written statements stating they had no grievances against each other.
