After months of speculation, the announcement was made on September 17, with a special social media post revealing the lead cast and other details.
The announcement featured animated versions of the male and female protagonists, with the female character snapping a selfie, perfectly capturing the film's youthful vibe. The accompanying text read, "Phantom Studios & AGS Entertainment announce the theatrical release of our film about love, likes & everything in between," hinting at the film's modern take on romance in the digital age. Reports have indicated that the film is an adaptation of the hit Tamil movie Love Today, which was a huge success when it was released in 2022. Directed by Pradeep Ranganathan, the original film starred Pradeep himself alongside Ivana, Raveena Ravi, and others in key roles. The Hindi adaptation starring Junaid and Khushi was shot across Delhi and Noida, with several important scenes filmed in iconic locations like Connaught Place and Sunder Nursery.
This project is highly anticipated, especially after the strong debuts made by both Junaid and Khushi. Junaid impressed audiences with his versatile performance in the historical drama Maharaj, while Khushi won praise for her role in The Archies (2023), where she stood out alongside other star kids like Agastya Nanda and Suhana Khan.
As both young actors continue to carve out their own paths in Bollywood, their pairing in this fresh romantic comedy has created plenty of buzz.
