Jhanak: Aniruddha contemplates death before heart attack

Tonight's Jhanak episode opens with Arshi confronting Aniruddha, questioning if he's thinking about Jhanak. Aniruddha quickly denies it and excuses himself, stating he needs to freshen up. Elsewhere, Aditya reassures Jhanak that he understands her feelings for Aniruddha and respects their friendship. Jhanak suggests they continue with their shoot, and despite some initial hesitation, Aditya agrees. Jhanak agrees to proceed for his sake, and they both head out to begin their work.

Meanwhile, Mimi suggests to Anjana that they should invite Lalon and Appu for a special meal. Anjana worries about how they will send an invitation. Mimi, however, insists that once the aroma of the food reaches Lalon's house, he won't be able to resist coming. Lalon overhears this conversation and becomes upset. Despite Bipasha's attempts to console him, Lalon, visibly hurt, expresses his frustration, stating that he can distinguish between a joke and an insult.

As the tension builds, Mimi and Rumi continue to make jokes at Lalon's expense, causing discomfort among the family members. Lalon sarcastically remarks about dreaming of eating the delicacies, prompting laughter from Appu. However, the situation escalates when Lalon accuses the family of being wealthy but lacking in basic respect and decency. He questions what kind of values they will pass down to future generations. 

Tanuja, enraged, yells at Lalon, but he stands his ground, suggesting that their behaviour is unacceptable, especially towards someone like him.

Despite efforts from Appu and Anjana to calm him, Lalon refuses to sit down, stating that respect should have been considered before inviting him. Bablu intervenes, apologising and explaining that the meal was funded by his own money, emphasising that Choton also contributed because he holds Lalon in high regard. Anjana expresses disappointment that a joyous occasion has turned sour due to some insensitive remarks, while Bipasha dismisses Lalon's reaction as an overreaction to a harmless joke.

Choton and Mrinalini arrive, noticing the rising tension. Mrinalini tries to diffuse the situation, but Lalon remains firm in his frustration. Choton eventually steps in, asking Lalon to stay for the sake of Anjana and Bablu, while Mrinalini, seeing herself as an outsider like Lalon, encourages him to stay as well. Lalon eventually agrees, but not without making a pointed remark to Rumi and Mimi, serving them first and sarcastically urging them to enjoy the meal. Tanuja, still angry, lashes out again, but Lalon retorts that it was all just a joke, echoing the excuse that had been used against him.

Choton, sensing the need to lighten the mood, teases Mrinalini, suggesting she needs some "training" as she will soon be part of the family. He then reveals his intention to marry Mrinalini, delighting everyone except Tanuja, who storms off in anger, followed by Bipasha, Rumi, and Mimi. Lalon, touched by Choton's words, embraces him in gratitude.

Later, Arshi asks Aniruddha to sign some papers, which Shubho confirms were prepared. Shrishti warns Aniruddha that if he mistreats Arshi again, there will be consequences. Tanuja coldly suggests that there's no need to do anything more for Jhanak, implying that they may never know if she was truly unwell. Aniruddha, clearly frustrated, signs the papers, despite his growing despair. Shubho warns him to adhere to the conditions or face severe consequences. Feeling emotionally drained, Aniruddha steps outside to gather himself.

As the episode draws to a close, Aniruddha reflects on his feelings for Jhanak, who is also seen in tears, thinking about him. Aniruddha considers the idea that it might be best for him to distance himself from Jhanak and questions what he would do without her. Overcome with grief, he accepts being tired and wishes he could escape the emotional pain, feeling that life would be easier if his life ended. However, he knows that Jhanak deserves happiness, even if it means sacrificing his own peace. The weight of his emotions causes him to break down in tears.
