Janhvi Kapoor lost 'Simmba' to Sara Ali Khan due to THIS Reason

Reportedly, the two famous debutants were approached to play the lead opposite Ranveer in this film.

Celebrity kids Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan are two popular debutants that we have in the industry now. Both of them already have an immense fan base with a plethora of fan clubs dedicated to them on social media platforms.

Janhvi will mark her debut in Bollywood with the much-talked-about Shashank Khaitan's directorial 'Dhadak' while friend Sara is expected to debut with 'Kedarnath'. But if the recent controversies that Kedarnath is facing are to go by, looks like it will be a long wait for this film to get completed.

Meanwhile, there is a ray of hope for Sara as she has bagged the female lead in Rohit Shetty's comedy-drama film 'Simmba' opposite Ranveer Singh. If recent reports are to be believed then apparently both Janhvi and Sara were approached for this role which eventually landed to Sara.

A report in Mumbai Mirror stated, "Simmba's script was narrated to both Sara and Janhvi. Apparently, Janhvi gave out the news about herself that she has been approached for the film". And this is why Janhvi lost her role to Sara Ali Khan.

Well, till now both these debutants have maintained good friendship in the eyes of media but we wonder if this film will create a difference between the two.

Before Sara was officially finalised for Simmba, a report had stated that "Rohit Shetty's film will mount the floors soon after Gully Boy and will release this year. Now, both Sara and Janhvi will try their best to bag a role for Simmba. Janhvi was always an option for the makers. What will be interesting is if Sara bags the role. Then both these actresses shall then vie for the best newcomer award next year".

Only time will tell who will bag this award but apart from the competition, the two debutants have really high expectations from the audience already.
