ALT Balaji is all set to release its much-awaited web series Puncch Beat soon. Since the project was announced and post the promo release, many have highlighted an uncanny similarity of it with Karan Johar's Student Of The Year.
Actor Siddharth Sharma who made heads turn overnight for his remake of T-Series Leja Re song that recently crossed 200 million views on YouTube has managed to grab all the attention after the release of the Puncch Beat teaser.
Talking about the direct comparison being made with SOTY, he says, "It is not justified to compare two masterpieces. Both PuncchBeat and SOTY are unique identities. Not taking away from the fact that I love Student Of The Year and I still watch it at times, however, if you compare, Puncch Beat surely has an edge which is beyond the lives of 3 high school hotties and of course I will be slightly more inclined towards PuncchBeat as I am a part of it and have worked day and night just for my show. I wish it does equally well as Student Of The Year and if even more, then it's a dream that I wish comes true."
Siddharth has been receiving accolades and appreciation from all his fans and they can't wait to see him ace this show too. He exclaims, "I am fortunate enough to be loved by the people and feel blessed, I wish it continues to grow and I keep working hard, making my mom and brother proud." He further added,"I heartily thank Ekta ma'am for giving me this opportunity, Vikas Gupta for being so helpful always, and the entire cast and crew of Puncch Beat for supporting me and being the best team that anyone could have asked for."

He will be playing the character of Ranbir who is a highly ambitious boy with all luxuries of life but possessive for his loved ones.
