Karan Johar's Netflix Web Series Titled "Jet Set Go" set to launch with three leading actresses

Karan Johar, who made his directorial comeback in 2023 with "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani," is now gearing up for his first web series for Netflix. The show, titled "Jet Set Go," will explore the aviation industry and has already attracted significant attention.

As reported by a leading news portal filming for "Jet Set Go" is scheduled to commence in February 2025, following a comprehensive shooting schedule. Sources indicate that three prominent actresses from the Indian film industry are expected to join the cast

According to the media reports,  a source close to the development stated, “After collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Heeramandi, this Karan Johar directorial is the next marquee project in Netflix's repertoire. Karan will be the showrunner for this web series. The script is locked and the vision is to take it on the floors in the first quarter of 2025 and is set to stream in 2026.”

The series is said to hold personal significance for Johar and will be crafted as a family entertainer. The news of his foray into a big-budget series for Netflix surfaced in September 2024. According to insiders, this project follows his collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali on "Heeramandi" and is poised to be a major addition to Netflix's offerings. Johar will serve as the showrunner, with plans to begin production in early 2025 and aim for a 2026 release.

In addition to "Jet Set Go," Karan Johar is also preparing to direct a large-scale action film.

Recently, it was announced that Adar Poonawalla's Serene Productions will invest ₹1,000 crore into Johar's production company, Dharma Productions, and its subsidiary, Dharmatic Entertainment. This agreement will grant Serene Productions a 50% stake in Dharma, with Johar retaining the remainder. The partnership aims to produce content tailored for a global audience.
