I am used to Cannes now: Nawazuddin Siddiqui

We have many actors who reach cloud nine even if they land up with a small role in any Hollywood flick. We see them taking to social media sites and announcing about it in every public event. But with Nawaz this scene is completely different.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has had to struggle a lot in the Hindi film industry. Apart from main stream cinema he also has a background in theater and niche cinema. Many of his films have been regularly receiving appraisals in International film festivals. But we never see the star going gaga about it. 

In a recent interview with India-Forums, ahead of the release of his upcoming movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan, when we asked this simple yet phenomenal actor about it, we got a very surprising answer.

He said, "Many of my films go to various International film festivals, so what do I say about it. In the past two years six of my films have been showcased at Cannes and there in no big film festival in the world where my films have not been screened. So, I am kind of used to all this now."

He further added, "The people whose films are nominated for the first time or maybe they go once a year to such festivals, for them it is a thing to flaunt. It's an achievement for them."

Well, was this being modest or did Nawaz take a pot-shot on someone?
