Today BollyCurry celebrates the birthday of not one, not two, but three celebrities! They are Director No. 1 David Dhawan, all-rounder Mahesh Manjrekar, and Bollywood's Chote Nawab, Saif Ali Khan!
Born
on 16th August, 1955, David Dhawan's full name is Rajendra Dhawan. He
is married to Karuna and the couple have two children, Rohit Dhawan and
Varun Dhawan. Rohit debuted as a director with the 2011 flick, Desi Boyz and Varun debuted as an actor in the 2012 super-hit, Student of the Year. Senior Dhawan began his career as a film editor before moving into direction with the 1989 film Aandhiyan.
Over the years, Dhawan has directed several films and has gradually
become Bollywood's Director No. 1 with his slew of comedy movies,
especially his known collaboration with Govinda (Arun) Ahuja and Salman Khan. Some of
Dhawan's hit films include Shola Aur Shabnam (1992), Aankhen (1993), Raja Babu (1994), Coolie No. 1 (1995), Hero No. 1 (1997), Biwi No. 1 (1999), Haseena Maan Jaayegi (1999), Chal Mere Bhai (2000), Jodi No. 1 (2001), Ek Aur Ek Gyarah (2003), Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya (2005), Partner (2007), and Main Tera Hero (2014).

1958, Manjrekar has always kept his personal life private. He is married
to Medha and the couple have two children Ashwami and Satya. Manjrekar
started his career as a director with Vaastav: The Reality (1999)
in which he also appeared in a song. From there, there was no turning
back for Manjrekar. He went on to star in many hit movies such as Kaante (2002), Run (2004), Musafir (2004), Slumdog Millionaire (2008), Wanted (2009), Dabangg (2010), Ready (2011), Bodyguard (2011), OMG: Oh My God! (2012), and Jai Ho (2014). He has also directed many hit and critically acclaimed movies such as Vaastav: The Reality (1999), Astitva (2000), and Viruddh...Family Comes First (2005). Manjrekar is also credited with appearing on Sony TV's CID as
criminal Harpist Dongara (HD) in the "Aakhri Chunauti" series. Other
than Bollywood and Television, he has also participated in reality shows
from Sony TV's Jhalak Diklhaa Jaa to STAR Plus's Arre Deewano Mujhe Pehchano, and Zee Marathi's Maharashtracha Superstar. This multi-talented actor-director-writer-producer has won a National Award for Best Regional Film (Marathi) for Astitva (2000), Screen Weekly Awards for Best Story (Marathi) for Astitva (2000), and IIFA Best Performance in a Comic Role for Kaante (2003). Manjrekar is also a MNS Candidate from Mumbai North West in the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections.

Saif Ali Khan. Born on 16th August, 1970, Khan is the son of Mansoor
Ali Khan Pataudi, a former captain of the Indian cricket team, and
Sharmila Tagore, a popular actress of the Golden Era. He studied at the
Lawrence School, Sanawar near Chandigarh before going on to Lockers Park
School in England followed by Winchester College. Khan married Amrita
Singh in October 1991 and the couple have two children Sara Ali Khan and
Ibrahim Ali Khan. Unfortunately, the two divorced 13 years after their
marriage, in 2004. Thereafter on the 16th October 2012, Chote Nawab
married Kareena Kapoor. Khan made his Bollywood debut with the 1992 film
Parampara, although he did not get success until the 1994 films Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Yeh Dillagi, and Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999) came in his kitty. Khan faced several rough patches after this initial success before facing a high in his career with Dil Chahta Hai (2001). He went on to star in many hit films such as Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Hum Tum (2004), Salaam Namaste (2005), Omkara (2006), Race (2008), Race 2 (2013), and Go Goa Gone (2013).
Khan also started his own production house named Illuminati Films, with
which he has produced quite a few films. The first film it produced was
Love Aaj Kal (2009), which went on to become a huge success.
Khan has won many awards in his long career including National Film
Award for Best Actor for Hum Tum (2004), Filmfare Best Male Debut Award for Aashiq Awara (1993), Filmfare Best Comedian Award and IIFA Best Supporting Actor Award for Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Filmfare Best Supporting Acctor Award and IIFA Best Supporting Actor Award for Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Filmfare Best Comedian Award for Hum Tum (2004), and Filmfare Best Villain Award and IIFA Best Villain Award for Omkara (2006).
