Throughout his career, Park Seo Joon has been loved for how he portrays romance onscreen. Whether it is What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim or Hwarang, his kissing scenes have their own fan base. The views for some of them on YouTube is more than any superhit music video. On the show, Gyeongseong Creature2, we have seen him more as an action hero. Park Seo Joon was angry, intense and volatile in the beautifully choreographed angry sequences being said as one of the best in 2024. Gyeongseong Creature 2 has a couple of kissing scenes, and one of them is the talk of the town. 

The scene comes after Jang Taesang/Ho-jae and Yoon Chaeok manage to escape the biotech lab where they are holding people captive to make more najins. He runs out and finds her seated on a lonely park bench. They rush into each other’s arms and share a long passionate kiss. It is the union of two lovers after 80 long years. The director filmed it like a true cinematic moment starting with a long shot and slowly capturing the intensity of their longing. Park Seo Joon was asked to talk about his kissing scene with Han So-Hee and he said it was a single take scene.

Park Seo Joon said the emotion at that time was that of union and oblivion to the world around them. He was quoted as saying, “It felt like the two of (them) were the only ones left in the world.” He later said it was done in a single take. The actor is heard as saying, “This was a single-take scene. There weren’t a lot of people in the area at the time we shot this scene. So it really felt like the two of us were the only ones left in the world.” 

Fans are gaga over the heightened emotions of the scene. They feel it ranks as one of his best passionate kisses so far in his K-drama career. Jung Dong Yoon, the director said he wanted to shoot from Taesang’s perspective, i.e. of a man who finally realizes this true love has made a journey through time to be back in his life. It is one of the best shows of September-October on Netflix Korea.
