On October 1, Govinda suffered an accidental bullet injury in the early hours. Following this unfortunate event, several Bollywood celebrities, including Shatrughan Sinha, David Dhawan, Sudesh Lehri, and Jackky Bhagnani, were seen visiting the hospital to check on the veteran actor. In the meantime, Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, has shared that he is recovering well and assured fans that he will be back to dancing in a few months.

She mentioned that the actor was feeling better than yesterday and would be moved to a normal ward today, with plans for discharge in a day or two. She also expressed her gratitude to his fans and followers for their wishes and blessings.
Sunita also mentioned that many fans have been praying in temples and dargahs for the actor’s quick recovery. "Main bolna chahungi fans ko aap log panic mat hoiye. Sir ek dum thik hain kuch mahine baad sir fir dance vance karne lagenge. Thank you so much (I would request fans to not panic. Sir is fine and he will be dancing again in a few months)."
Yesterday, Govinda expressed that the blessings from his fans, parents, and guru saved him. "I was hit by a bullet, but it has been extracted. I thank the doctors here and your prayers," he said in the audio clip.
Family members have been closely involved in the situation, offering updates and support. Kashmera Shah, the wife of Govinda's nephew Krushna Abhishek, was among the first to visit him at Criti Care Hospital in Mumbai. When paparazzi inquired about the incident, Kashmera responded briefly with, "Kuch nahi," choosing not to elaborate further.
For those who may not know, it was reported on Tuesday that Govinda accidentally shot himself with his revolver. The incident occurred around 4:45 am as the actor was leaving for an appointment. Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, explained that while the actor was placing his licensed revolver in the almirah, it accidentally fell, leading to a bullet being discharged.
