'Gadar 2' director Anil Sharma counters Ameesha Patel's accusations; appreciates unintended publicity

Renowned filmmaker Anil Sharma, known for his iconic film Gadar Ek Prem Katha, has recently addressed the allegations made by lead actress Ameesha Patel against him and his production team. Patel had previously claimed that there were numerous instances of mismanagement during the shooting of Gadar 2 in Chandigarh, pointing fingers at Anil Sharma Productions for these issues. Furthermore, she stated that the makeup artists and costume designers had not received their rightful remuneration and dues from the production house.

However, Anil Sharma has now responded to these allegations in an interview, expressing his confusion regarding Patel's statements. He firmly denied all the accusations, categorically stating that they were entirely false. Interestingly, he also took a rather unconventional approach by expressing gratitude towards Ameesha Patel. According to him, Patel's claims had inadvertently brought significant attention to his production house, ultimately making it more renowned. He even went on to thank her for this unexpected publicity, emphasizing the positive impact it had on their new venture.

Contrary to Sharma's stance, Ameesha Patel had taken to Twitter to voice her concerns and shed light on the alleged incidents that occurred during the final schedule of Gadar 2 in Chandigarh. She claimed that several technicians, including makeup artists and costume designers, had not received their rightful remuneration and dues from Anil Sharma Productions. Patel commended ZEE Studios for stepping in and ensuring that all outstanding payments were settled, praising their professionalism and commitment to resolving the issues caused by Sharma's production house.

In her series of tweets, Patel also brought attention to other grievances, including unpaid accommodation, transportation, and food bills for certain cast and crew members. She mentioned that some individuals were left stranded due to the lack of provided cars, expressing her gratitude once again to ZEE Studios for intervening and rectifying these problems caused by Anil Sharma Productions.

Gadar 2 marks the reunion of filmmaker Anil Sharma with the lead actors from the original film, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel. Additionally, Sharma's son, Utkarsh Sharma, who appeared as a child actor in the 2001 film, will also be seen in this much-anticipated sequel.
