Everybody's been celebrating Mothers' Day around B-Town, but Ms. Bolly
Chili's all about her work, and bringing you the fashion do's and
don't's of all our favourites. This time, one of the most famous - and
stylish - mother-daughter duos showed the world that sometimes, you
actually do end up wearing your mother's clothes!
In November 2011, the ever radiant Dimple Kapadia was spotted in a very pretty Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla salwaar kameez
at their 25th celebration party. The creamish coloured outfit was
patterned with gold and silver stripes, and the longtime, oldtime beauty
paired it with beautiful beaded earrings. But what was with the
bottoms? The loose salwaar usually works with outfits like this - but loose kameez and bland bronze heels? No, no, no. Complete mess from the usually divine Dimple Ji!

Almost a year later, daughter Twinkle Jatin Khanna stepped out of the
house for the first time after the birth of her daughter, Nitara, with
husband (and everyone's favourite khiladi - you know he's my favourite) Akshay Kumar in what looked like almost the exact same outfit! Did she raid her mother's closet or something? The cream coloured kameez
hung a little loose on Twinkle's frame, but Ms. Bolly Chili can forgive
her considering that she had, you know, a baby - nobody wants to flaunt
that extra weight. The gold and silver stripes matched the new mummy's
mummy's outfit (phew, tongue twister much?) but thank God Twinkle had
the sense to wear cream churidaar instead of an ill-fitting salwaar!
Her peep-toed sequined heels suited her much better than her mother's
sandals, and paired with emerald drop earrings and a matching green
clutch, not forgetting the delectable arm candy? Twinkle beat Dimple
flat.
Should we be wondering - and worried!
- if little Nitara will one day be sharing her mother's clothes the way
Twinkle is obviously sharing hers? I mean, Ms. Bolly Chili thinks
they're both usually stunningly dressed - but Twinkle's a little too old
to be playing dress up with mummy dearest's clothes now.
But since we just celebrated mothers' everywhere? I'll give these two mothers a break.
