Diljit Dosanjh Extends his Support to the PM Cares Fund!

The coronavirus outbreak has painted a bleak picture across the globe leading to a lockdown. While India sees the same fate, the recent exodus of daily wage workers has sent tremors of horror across the nation as several marched towards their hometown without any resources. Now, the government has decided to help the poor citizens who are waiting to be rescued from hunger. 

Recently, PM Narendra Modi announced that the PM-CARES Fund accepts micro-donations will strengthen disaster management capacities and encourage research on protecting citizens. 

Several Bollywood stars have pledged their support to help the needy by donating monetary sums to the PM- cares relief fund. Now, Diljit Dosanjh has extended his support donating 20 Lakh rupees to the relief Fund.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Dosanjh has issued an official statement about the same as he wrote: “I’m committed to donating 20 Lakh rupees to the PM-CARES Fund. Our Priority Now should be to help our country get through this tough time. #TogetherWeCan”

Dosanjh has joined the league of many celebrities donating graciously during this tough time that the nation is facing. Akshay Kumar donated a whopping amount of Rs 25 crore towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s PM-CARES fund to help the government in its fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier, this morning, many celebrities including Kartik Aaryan, Shilpa Shetty, Anushka Sharma, Randeep Hooda and more extended their support for the greater good.
