Ranbir Kapoor has turned 42 today. The handsome actor has been part of Brahmastra and Animal, two of Bollywood’s biggest success after the lockdown. As per a report in an entertainment portal, he is finalized for Dhoom 4. It seems he had a meeting with Aditya Chopra where he loved the initial concept of the movie. Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in a negative avatar. In the past, he has played grey-shaded characters in Animal and Bombay Velvet. The makers are planning a movie, which has the brand name of the Dhoom franchise but is a complete reboot. Two big actors from the modern era will join in as cop buddies.

It seems Aditya Chopra wants to get Dhoom 4 on the floors by end of 2025 or start of 2026. He is in discussion with Vijay Krishna Acharya for the script. They want to bring forth an action movie that can compete with Hollywood in terms of style, content and packaging. Vijay Krishna Acharya is the director of the Dhoom franchise. The first movie came in 2004 with Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Uday Chopra. The bike chase sequences were first of its kind in Bollywood. The second film, Dhoom 2 saw Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the leading pair. Their amazing chemistry makes us swoon till date.

Dhoom 3 starred Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif. Many found it underwhelming but Katrina Kaif’s dance in Malang was kickass. Aditya Chopra is still going through the script and personally supervising the project. Ranbir Kapoor’s last movie with YRF was Shamshera that tanked badly. The whole team got trolled badly on social media. Yash Raj Films is leading the pack when it comes to action extravaganzas like Alpha, Mardaani 3, Tiger Vs Pathaan, Pathaan 2 and WAR 2.

Ranbir Kapoor will finish his work on Ramayana and Love And War in the interim. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali film is releasing in the coming year. Ramayana is coming in two parts. After he finishes Dhoom 4, he might work on Animal Park with Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The Kabir Singh maker is also taking a lot of time on the script. He will finish Spirit with Prabhas in the mean time.
