SRK and Suhana Khan's 'King' Set for Eid 2026 Clash with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky's 'Love & War'

Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan's film King is all set to face tough competition at the box office in 2026. This highly anticipated action thriller is expected to clash with Love & War, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. Earlier, it was revealed that King is planning for an Eid 2026 release. Now, the makers of Love & War have announced that their film will also hit theaters on March 20, 2026, during the festive Eid period.

King is a special project for Shah Rukh Khan as it marks his first on-screen collaboration with Suhana Khan. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Gauri Khan and Siddharth Anand, the film promises to be an action-packed entertainer. The cast includes well-known actors like Abhishek Bachchan and Abhay Verma, adding more excitement to the film.

According to a report from Pinkvilla, King will begin filming in January 2025. The shooting will start in Mumbai, followed by a long schedule in Europe. This marathon shoot is expected to wrap up in time for its 2026 release.

Speaking about the release, a source said, “A film like King is perfect for the Eid 2026 window, and that’s what Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand are planning. It’s been a while since Shah Rukh released a film on Eid, and this will be his big return to the festive season after Chennai Express." The source added, “The current shoot timelines are designed to ensure that King is ready for its Eid release.”

Meanwhile, the team behind Love & War recently shared that the film has been postponed to March 20, 2026. This shift allows the movie to take advantage of the festive period around Ramzan, Ram Navami, and Gudi Padwa. Initially set for Christmas 2025, Love & War is a Sanjay Leela Bhansali epic featuring a love triangle. With both films gearing up for big releases, the box office is set for an intense Eid 2026 clash.
