"Bloody Daddy was always designed for OTT' - Shahid Kapoor

Still riding high on the humongous success of Farzi on Amazon Prime Video, actor Shahid Kapoor now has yet another mega project coming on her another OTT platform in the form of Bloody Daddy on JioCinema.

The teaser of the film was put out a while ago and it was immensely met with a lot of praise. A while ago, the trailer of the film was also released and yet again, the conversation/debate surrounding the film has begun. If you are wondering what is that - it is as to why is such a film with this scale and a leading star not coming in theaters and is instead coming on OTT.

At the trailer launch, even before one would ask, Kapoor went on to talk about it and addressed it.

He said, "A lot has been said and more so there has been questions about why is this film arriving on OTT and not in a theater. I have seen comments everywhere and even exhibitors have called us asking about it. For that, I have to say that this film was always designed for OTT from the get-go."

He added, "Considering the subject of the film and the language and other factors, director Ali Abbas Zafar and I were always clear that this film has to be made for OTT. But that doesn't mean we have compromised on the scale in any way. We are just glad this film will now reached more and more people on a platform like JioCinema."

Bloody Daddy is all set to begin streaming for free on JioCinema 9th June 2023 onwards.
