'Bhaage Re Mann' actor Karuna Pandey excited about her upcoming movie - Bollywood Diaries

Unlike many strugglers in the Telly world, versatile actress Karuna Pandey has been blessed with a smooth journey on television so far. Having worked with famed production houses and shows like Shraddha, Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, Mere Rang Mein Ranganewali and Bhaage Re Mann, the surreal actress has now bagged a meaty role in her upcoming film - Bollywood Diaries.

Shedding some light over her experience being a part of the project, Karuna said, "For Bollywood Diaries, I had to completely immerse in my character - Lata Shrivastav, as the role was different from my nature in real life. I am more comfortable playing Padmini in 'Bhaage Re Mann' as I can relate to the character and this role came in as a challenge. I had to physically transform myself because in person I looked much younger than what my character required me to be. My director K.D. Satyam asked her to put on some weight and throughout the movie I had to appear without an inch of make-up to play a de-glamourized housewife."

Mostly known for essaying negative roles, Karuna claimed that playing Padmini in Bhaage Re Mann was her first positive avatar and a breakthrough role. The show has received an overwhelming response. Having appeared in movies such as 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' and 'The Bypass', looks like Karuna has a universal effect that will make her audiences fall in love with her!

Elaborating on what medium she enjoys more concerning Bollywood and TV, the lady asserted, "Look, when one aspires to be an actor, every aspirant dreams about making it big into cinema, given the fact that we have grown up watching our favourite stars. But now that I have my feet grounded and have experienced both these mediums, I must say that my only focus is acting and not the medium. I will only do roles which offer substance and challenges my acting abilities at every level."
