This film marks Shoojit Sircar’s fifth collaboration with Big B, following successful projects like Shoebite, Piku, Pink, and Gulabo Sitabo. Sircar describes The Umesh Chronicles as a nostalgic journey through the '70s, '80s, and '90s.
He mentioned in an exclusive interview, “It’s a beautiful film we wanted to collaborate on with Jakob Ihre, who shot my first film, Yahaan. He has done the photography for world-class productions like Chernobyl and Spaceman. We were thrilled to work with him on this simple yet beautiful film.”
