Following the tragic shooting of his father, former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, Bandra East MLA Zeeshan Siddique expressed his family's desire for justice. He urged that his father's death should not be politicized or forgotten.
In a post on X, Zeeshan Siddique stated, "My father lost his life protecting the homes of poor, innocent people. My family is shattered, but his death must not be politicized and certainly should not go in vain. I NEED JUSTICE, MY FAMILY NEEDS JUSTICE!"
Baba Siddique, 66, was shot by three assailants outside his son's office around 9:30 PM on Dussehra, October 13. Reports indicate that six bullets were fired, four striking him and another hitting an aide in the leg. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.

In a Mumbai court on Sunday, Kashyap claimed he was 17 years old, despite his Aadhar card indicating he is 19. A subsequent bone ossification test confirmed he is not a minor.
According to police sources, the suspects have linked themselves to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, currently imprisoned in Sabarmati jail, a claim also made in a social media post. The post, attributed to Shubham Rameshwar Lonkar, a suspected associate of Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the murder.
Authorities arrested Lonkar's brother, Pravin, in Pune on Sunday evening in connection with the post. On Tuesday, police made another arrest: Harishkumar Balakram, 23, from Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, who is alleged to have been involved in the conspiracy to kill Baba Siddique.
