Actor Arshad Warsi faced criticism after his 'joker' comment regarding Prabhas' character in Kalki 2898 AD drew backlash from fans. Responding to the controversy, Warsi has now spoken out, acknowledging that the criticism no longer affects him, stating, “It doesn't bother me anymore.” In his usual playful manner, he added with a chuckle that he will continue to appreciate every actor for the rest of his life.
In a recent interview with India Today, Arshad Warsi revealed that this was the first time he experienced backlash. He recognized that negativity can affect positive people and pointed out that while everyone has the right to their opinions in a democratic society, he has reached a stage where such criticism no longer affects him.
He said, "However, we have been at a place where stones are thrown, so it doesn't bother me anymore."
Following the controversy, some fans noticed that the Banda Singh Chaudhary actor had turned off comments on his social media profiles. When questioned about this, he jokingly confessed that he doesn't know how to do it. He also discussed whether the incident had made him more careful with his public statements, sharing his new perspective on appreciating films. With a playful tone, he mentioned, "I have decided that I will love every film that I watch. I will love every actor for the rest of my life."

He clarified that while it's not unusual for individuals to fabricate controversies for publicity, he was actually unaware of his film's release schedule when the incident happened. He emphasized the unpredictability of such situations, stating that one cannot plan for controversies or their consequences.
In August, during a chat with Samdish Bhatia on his podcast, the actor was asked about the last disappointing film he had watched. He named Kalki 2898 AD and expressed his disappointment with Prabhas' performance, likening it to that of a joker.
Arshad expanded on his views, saying he wished for a more intense portrayal, similar to Mel Gibson in Mad Max. He questioned the creative decisions made in the film, expressing his confusion about the direction it took.
Following his comments, several celebrities from the Telugu film industry, including actors Nani and Sudheer Babu, as well as director Ajay Bhupathi, criticized Arshad Warsi for his choice of words. They suggested that he could have conveyed his opinions in a more considerate manner.
