Anupamaa: Gurdeep Kohli on playing Kavya in the show

Star Plus' Anupamaa remains one of the most popular shows on Indian television. Recently, rumours have circulated about the show taking a 15-year leap, sparking numerous speculations regarding the storyline and cast changes.

One such report claimed that actress Gurdeep Kohli had been approached to portray the character of Kavya. However, when India Forums contacted Gurdeep for clarification, the actress denied the news, stating, "I don't know where the news is coming from; I have not even been approached for the show."

Gurdeep Kohli, known for her roles in popular series like Sanjeevani and Dill Mill Gayye, was last seen in SAB TV's Vanshaj. She shares a history with Anupamaa star Rupali Ganguly, who worked together in Sanjeevani in 2000.

Meanwhile, actress Madalsa Sharma, who previously played Kavya in Anupamaa, has officially quit the show. In an interview, Madalsa revealed that her departure was not sudden, unlike her co-star Sudhanshu Pandey's exit, and she had been contemplating the decision for a while. With upcoming changes in the storyline, fans are eager to see how the characters will evolve.
