Ananya Panday is currently basking in the glory of her recently released OTT film CTRL is garnering which is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. The story line explores the harmful effects of social media on mental health, which can sometimes lead to tragic outcomes. In one of the promotional interviews, the actress shared her desire for platforms like Reddit and Photoshop to continue existing.
Vikramaditya Motwane had a lively conversation with his CTRL star Ananya Panday during a chat with Instant Bollywood. When asked about social media apps they believe shouldn’t be around, the Dream Girl 2 actress quickly mentioned Reddit but then switched her answer to Photoshop. She explained, “I want to see how people look without those photoshopping filters.” When asked if people still use Photoshop, Panday clarified that she was referring to photo editing apps in general. Meanwhile, the director expressed his wish for X (formerly known as Twitter) to disappear.
Ananya Panday's film CTRL premiered on Netflix on October 4, and it has been garnering praise from both audiences and celebrities in the entertainment industry ever since.
A day after watching the movie, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared a poster of CTRL on her Instagram Stories, expressing her thoughts about the film. She highly recommended it as a must-watch, praising its gripping storyline and exceptional production quality. She complimented Ananya Panday on her outstanding performance, mentioning that it inspired her to quickly grab her phone and uninstall several apps. Samantha also congratulated the entire team behind CTRL.
Anurag Kashyap praised Ananya Panday and Vihaan Samat's performances and shared the CTRL poster on social media. He commended Vikramaditya Motwane for pushing the boundaries of technology and storytelling, stating that he cannot be confined. Kashyap reflected on how Motwane has always been his go-to person, recalling how he introduced him to his first still camera and taught him about sound design and the MacBook.
