Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 earns ?900cr in pre-release: Report

'Pushpa' has been one of those films that significantly influenced box office earnings over the years. Allu Arjun's fans are eagerly looking forward to the debut of 'Pushpa: The Rule', the sequel to his 2021 blockbuster 'Pushpa: The Rise'. Even before its release, 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' has become the most anticipated movie of the year. The film is set to be released in theaters on December 6.

This highly anticipated film has reportedly generated a revenue of Rs 900 crore before its release. Starring Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, and Pashmika Mandanna in leading roles, the first installment of 'Pushpa', which came out in 2021, was a massive hit. The record-breaking deal for digital rights has once again become a hot topic of discussion.

It is reported that the film has achieved a pre-release revenue of Rs 900 crore through a combination of two OTT rights and satellite rights. The filmmakers have not yet made any official statement about the sale of digital rights. Recent updates indicate that the film is expected to perform even better financially than before. Some sources suggest that the theatrical rights have been sold for Rs 650 crore.

As per media reports, the popular OTT platform Netflix has secured the OTT rights for 'Pushpa 2'. It appears that Netflix has acquired the rights for the Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages for Rs 270 crore. This makes it one of the highest-valued Indian films in terms of digital rights. It is estimated that Amazon Prime purchased the OTT rights for the first part of 'Pushpa' for Rs 50 crore.

Initially, the production company Mythri Movie Makers announced that the film would be released on August 15, but the date was later postponed. The makers have now confirmed that the film will premiere in the first week of December. Directed by Sukumar, the film is produced with a budget of Rs 500 crore.
