Alia Bhatt Responds to Samantha Ruth Prabhu's Compliment on Her Performance in Jigra

Alia Bhatt is currently relishing the success of her latest film, Jigra. This action drama, which focuses on the bond between a brother and sister, has captured the hearts of many. Among her fans is Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who penned a heartfelt note for Alia. She referred to her as Tigress and commended her outstanding performance in the movie.

In response, Alia Bhatt shared the post on her Instagram stories and said, “Thank you so much Sam”. Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to her Instagram Stories to share a poster of Jigra. Alongside the poster, she praised Alia Bhatt for her performance, referring to her as a ‘tigress.’ She also commended director Vasan Bala and Vedang Raina. She wrote, “@aliaabhatt vou tigress! A performance so feisty and throbbing with life that I couldn’t take my eyes off you! The brave choices you make… the standards you set for yourself… Keep inspiring!”

A significant controversy emerged when Divya Khossla Kumar accused Alia of manipulating box office figures by allegedly purchasing tickets to inflate earnings. She took to Instagram, sharing a photo of an empty theater, and questioned the authenticity of the reported numbers, implying that the film’s success was artificially boosted. Her comments, including claims that the theaters were largely empty, prompted additional scrutiny.

Professionally, Alia will next appear in Alpha, where she will share the screen with Sharvari. Prabhu, meanwhile, will be featured in Citadel: Honey Bunny, starring alongside Varun Dhawan.
