Ajay Devgn & Rakul Preet Singh's De De Pyaar De 2 to Film in Punjab's Rustic Locations

Ajay Devgn's next movie, De De Pyaar De 2, has been a hot topic lately. Latest reports suggest that a major part of the film will be shot in the charming and picturesque locales of Punjab. The storyline will pick up from where De De Pyaar De left off, delving into humorous scenarios within Rakul Preet Singh's family.

A source told ETimes, "As of now, the production is busy preparing for a 45-50 day schedule in some beautiful and rustic locations in Punjab." R. Madhavan, Rakul Preet Singh, and the rest of the cast and crew are set to head to Punjab next month. Ajay Devgn will link up with them after wrapping up his duties for Son of Sardar 2 in the UK, as reported by the same news portal.

A key highlight of the sequel will be the captivating dynamic between Anil's and Ajay's characters, introducing a fresh layer to their on-screen rapport. The movie will persist in portraying the comedic escapades of Ajay and Rakul Preet Singh as they confront hurdles alongside Rakul's family.

Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain have penned the script for De De Pyaar De 2, with Anushul Sharma at the helm as the director. The movie is generating significant buzz and is poised to be one of the most anticipated films of 2025.

The original movie, which hit screens in 2019, was a big hit and starred Tabu and Jimmy Shergill in pivotal roles. In the upcoming sequel, Rakul Preet Singh's character will introduce Ajay Devgn's character to her family, with R Madhavan portraying her father. This scenario sets the stage for a comedic rivalry between the two men, who are of similar age.
