Paris Olympics 2024: PM Narendra Modi, Ranveer-Deepika, Kareena Kapoor, and more congratulate Swapnil Kusale

Today, on August 1, 2024, marked another successful day for India at the ongoing Summer Olympics in Paris. Shooter Swapnil Kusale clinched the nation's third medal by securing a bronze in the Men's 50m Rifle 3P event. Following his remarkable performance on the global stage, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a host of Bollywood stars, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Deepika Padukone, and others, showered him with their congratulations.

PM Narendra Modi took to X (Twitter) and shared, “Exceptional performance by Swapnil Kusale! Congrats to him for winning the Bronze medal in the Men's 50m Rifle 3 Positions at the #ParisOlympics2024. His performance is special because he’s shown great resilience and skills. He is also the first Indian athlete to win a medal in this category. Every Indian is filled with happiness. #Cheer4Bharat.” 

Kareena Kapoor Khan posted about Swapnil Kusale’s phenomenal achievement on her Instagram Stories. She stated, “Congratulations @swapnil_kusale,” along with clap emojis and the Indian flag. 

Ranveer Singh posted a picture of the athlete and used a fire emoji to convey his feelings. Deepika Padukone also shared about the win on her Stories.

Sidharth Malhotra penned, “@swapnil_kusale, you’ve made India proud! Congratulations on adding another medal to the bag! #Paris2024 @olympics @weareteamindia.” His wife, Kiara Advani, also said, “Congratulations.”

Mira Rajput, Shahid Kapoor's wife, shared about the victory on her Stories and mentioned, “On point on target! @swapnil_kusale.” Shilpa Shetty appreciated the medalist by writing, “Another incredible feat - what an amazing performance @swapnil_kusale You’ve made India proud.” Ayushmann Khurrana also joined in celebrating Swapnil.

Preity Zinta shared on her Stories, “Congratulations @swapnil_kusale for winning the bronze medal and creating history! Great achievement! #Paris2024 #ShootingStar #Paris20240lympic #OlympicGames #Cheer4Bharat #ting.”

Anil Kapoor exclaimed, “Another day another bronze for India!! Congratulations!! @swapnil_kusale.” Karisma Kapoor also congratulated the athlete. 

For those who may not know, Manu Bhaker kickstarted India's medal count with a bronze in the women’s 10m Air Pistol event, followed by another bronze in the mixed team event with Sarabjot Singh. All three of India’s medals in the 2024 Olympics have been achieved in shooting events.
