Rohit Shetty is currently riding high on the success of Singham Again, which is doing really well in theaters. After this cop movie, he has already revealed that his next project is Golmaal 5. This is great news for fans who have been eagerly anticipating the return of their beloved Golmaal series.
Rohit shared some exciting news with Pinkvilla: Golmaal 5 is officially in the works and will be released before his next cop action project.
Rohit Shetty mentioned that he plans to go back to the fun and light-hearted world of Golmaal before delving into the intense action of his next project. “I think before any cop film for sure, Golmaal will be the next," Rohit said.
When discussing the shift between Singham Again and Golmaal, Ajay Devgn mentioned that transitioning from an action-oriented mindset to the comedic tone of Golmaal is not challenging for him. He explained that he smoothly moves between characters, staying in character only during "action" and "cut" moments.
“We’re not switching from one world to another on set. Between ‘action’ and ‘cut,’ I can be Singham, but after that, I’m just myself," Ajay explained. “If I stayed in character all the time, I’d go insane."
For Rohit Shetty, switching genres is a refreshing change. He explained that working on a comedy like Golmaal after an intense project like Singham serves as a "detox." "I look forward to making Golmaal after a big project like Singham. It’s lighter and happier, and I’m not as worried," he expressed.
The Golmaal series, known for its iconic cast including Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, and Tusshar Kapoor, has been a Bollywood comedy favorite since Golmaal: Fun Unlimited first hit screens in 2006. Following the success of Golmaal Returns, Golmaal 3, and Golmaal Again, each installment has delighted audiences with a mix of slapstick and witty humor.
