After Preity Zinta's harassment case, Shefali Shah opens up on being inappropriately touched

Recently Preity Zinta took to her social media handle and two incidents of harassment she faced. She shared a video along with a lengthy caption expressing her thoughts. This post shared by the actress sparked a debate on the internet and many actors like Hrithik Roshan, Arjun Rampal, Malaika Arora and others came in her support.

Now veteran actress Shefali Shah who is known for her impecabble performances in recent times with Delhi Crime and Darlings shared her story. 

While talking with ANI Shefali talked about her real-life experience, and said,

“Like I said earlier, everyone’s gone through it. I remember walking in a crowded market and being touched inappropriately and feeling crap about it. And, never ever saying anything because I wouldn’t say it was guilt but it’s just…shameful.”

She futher added, 

"A lot of people think, did I do anything? You feel guilty, shameful and you feel ‘bhool jao (forget it). Shove it under the carpet kind of thing’. Honestly, I don’t think I gave it so much thought that it’s an important conversation to speak."

Preity Zinta shared the first instance in her post and called out the woman who "planted a big wet kiss" near to her baby daughter Gia's mouth while having her picture taken. The actress described the second incident in which a man in a wheelchair repeatedly tried to stop her and demanded money from her. She wrote in the caption , "Most importantly my children are NOT part of a package deal & are not meant to be preyed on so please Leave my kids alone & don’t come to them for photos or touch/grab them. They are infants & need to be treated like infants,not celebrities."

Preity's confession has surely evoked rage in the industry and we will get to hear more of such stories in the coming days.
