In a recent revelation, the actress shared that she chose IVF and expressed moments of frustration that made her feel like banging her head against the wall.

In a recent chat with Vogue, Preity Zinta shared insights on the hurdles she encountered during the IVF phase, underscoring the emotional toll it took on her. The Lahore 1947 star candidly acknowledged the importance of career focus while recognizing life's inherent unfairness. She further shed light on the challenges posed by the biological clock and the unequal distribution of opportunities for all.

"People forget that for women, as actors, your craft is important, you want a body of work, but family is equally important," she said. The actress, who is gearing up for her silver screen comeback, expressed readiness as her kids have now crossed the age of two years.

Sharing her personal challenges, the 49-year-old actress revealed experiencing ups and downs like everyone else. She admitted that maintaining a happy-go-lucky demeanor can also be tough, particularly during difficult times.

"I used to feel like that during my IVF cycles. It was very difficult to be smiley and nice all the time. Sometimes I just wanted to bang my head on the wall and cry or not talk to anybody. So yes, it has to be a balancing act for all actors,” she said.

Preity Zinta tied the knot with American financial analyst Gene Goodenough in a private ceremony back in 2016. The couple welcomed twin kids through surrogacy in 2021, naming them Gia and Jai.

On the professional front, Preity is gearing up for her comeback on the silver screen with Lahore 1947, co-starring Sunny Deol. The film, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan, was officially unveiled in October last year. It will feature key roles played by Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Karan Deol.
