As the year, 2013 comes to an end, its time for the night parties, dance, masti, galore and get-togethers. When we are considering any of these situations, bollywood songs are a must. Item songs have always been a sure-shot formula in the Indian cinema used by almost all the top notch film banners. Usually item numbers are performed by the top leading actors from the industry to make it a super hit. Talking about those special songs that add some kind of extra groovy flavor to any bollywood movie, we at BollyCurry bring to you the comprehensive list of item songs from the year 2013. 1234 Get on the Dance Floor - Chennai Express

The Shah Rukh Khan, doing an item number for his own film? Yes, a very well-choreographed song from the record-breaking film Chennai Express. Shah Rukh too did an item song with Priyamani to add the tadka. Sung by the talented singers from the music industry Hamsika Iyer and Vishal Dadlani, the song did exceedingly well. People of all ages shook their leg on this preppy number. We could hear this tune at almost every get-together since the day the song was released.

Ghagra - Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

"TV pe breaking news haaye re mera ghagra haaye, Baghdad se leke Delhi via Agra, Ghagra ghagra tera ghagra ghagra, Tera ghagra ghagra via agra..."

Our very own 'Dhak Dhak Girl' Madhuri Dixit Nene, did her first ever item song in the bollywood industry for the "Ghagra" song. Shaking a leg with bollywood's chocolate boy Ranbir Kapoor she gave one of the finest performances of the year. Looking absolutely fabulous, she managed to give her best and flawless moves. The movie was a big success and the song created waves all over. The song became the most celebrated song of the year sung by Rekha Bhardwaj and Vishal Dadlani.

Dhating Naach- Phata Poster Nikla Hero

"Udan chu chu...Main chidiya firangi...Balam tu tu... Tu desi mousambi..."

Nargis Fakhri and Shahid Kapoor did an amazing 'Naach' for the movie Phata Poster Nikla Hero. Shahid Kapoor is one of the leading actors who knows it all, when it comes to dance and expressions. Needless to say Nargis Fakhri too managed to reach up to Shahid's level of perfection when it comes to dancing. Not to forget, "Dhating Naach" was Nargis Fakhri's first item number.

Jaadoo ki Jhappi - Ramaiya Vastavaiya

"Jadoo ki jhappi le ja tu abhi, Milungi phir na dobara, Hothon se pappi le ja tu abhi, Milungi main na dobara..."

Jacqueline Fernandes all dressed up like a desi glam doll dancing on an item number from the film Ramaiya Vastavaiya. Jacqueline did her amazing best. All her Latka's and Jhatka's had the bollywood box office ringing, in addition to adding some pep and push to the light romantic story. The song was highly appreciated by audience worldwide.

Laila - Shootout at Wadala

"Ek nazar dekhegi, Teer woh phenkegi, Arey ek nazar dekhegi, Teer woh phenkegi, Mausam badal degi. O Laila teri le legi, tu likh ke le le..."

Sunny Leone, the sexy siren actress ruling hearts worldwide is now the 'Laila' of B-Town after she grooved for the first time for Ekta Kapoor's Shootout at Wadala. When it comes to appeal, the sizzling hot babe can make any man go weak in his knees. The latest foreign import Leone definitely has that X factor that made this song one of the most popular song of the year 2013.

Gandi Baat - R... Rajkumar

"ABCD padhli bohot, Thandi aahein bhar li bohot, Acchi baatein kar li bohot, Ab karunga tere saath, Gandi baat..."

Featuring the god of dance Prabhu Deva along with Sonakshi Sinha, the song is the latest one to hit the list this December. The tune is catchy and groovy, a good thing for the dance lovers. This will surely get to the top of everyone's party songs list for the festive season. Sonakshi Sinha and Shahid Kapoor did complete justice to the choreography done by Prabhu Deva. If you haven't checked this one out, we would suggest you to go and put it on track!

Babli Badmaash - Shootout at Wadala

"Dil parda-faash hai, Neeyat aiyyash hai, Na bann shareef tu, Babli badmaash hai, Babli badmash hai... Na bann shareef tu, Babli badmaash hai.."

The second item song for the movie Shootout at Wadala, featuring Priyanka Chopra gave yet another push to the story line of the sequel to Shootout at Lokhandwala. Giving a neck-to-neck competition to Sunny Leone's "Laila", Priyanka Chopra too rocked the screen. The movie turned out to be a disaster but the song, sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Priyanka Chopra's item number was a hit amongst the audience.

Ram Chaahe Leela - Ram-Leela

"Ram chahe leela chahe, leela chahe Ram, In dono ke love mein duniya ka kya kaam..."

The hottest item number of 2013, Priyanka Chopra made her sizzling best on-screen as the item girl for Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh starrer Goliyon ki Ram-Leela. Described as the modern version of the desi mujra, Priyanka gave a flawless performance, which can easily be called one of her best item number performance. Priyanka Chopra's grace added the much-needed sizzle to the song.

Thank God it's Friday - Himmatwala

"Hey You, Yeh shaam kehti, Darling, come look alive, Mar ke mar ke kaata hai ye week saara, Ab jhoom ke dil kahe hey hey... Thank God its Friday..."

This song featuring Sonakshi Sinha, reminded us of the Zeenat Aman's evergreen all time super hit song 'Laila main Laila..'. The song had everything Zeenat portrayed decades back. Whether it be the sequined dress, the headband, the slit in the dress and the dance moves. However, unfortunately, the item song imitating the Zeenat Aman's magical appearance couldn't save Sajid's dream project Himmatwala from being a disaster at the Box Office.

Dhat teri Ki- Gori Tere Pyaar Mein

"300 baar baj gaya telephone, It's mummy daddy saying come on home. I said main nahi aana, main nahin aana, Dhat teri ki main ghar nahi jaana..."

Esha Gupta and Imran Khan dancing to the tunes of 'Dhat Teri Ki" from the recent release Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is yet another item number on our list. With Kareena Kapoor Khan dancing to the beats of 'Tooh' Esha Gupta too did really well. Moreover, the combination of the three stars, gave us an excellent item number, who had us dancing throughout.
