Vidya's regressiveness is not same as Kaveri's. Kaveri's mindset stems from her need for absolute control. She has the "perfect place" for everything and everyone in mind, and expects it to stay that way. Vidya is just someone whose body is possessed by a person from 16th century idk
Kaveri is surely an evil person but actually she is aware of what she's doing is wrong but as she's control freak she doesn't care.
Meanwhile Vi has regressive mindset and on top of that thinks she's right and victim of every situation.

Even A_Derry_Girl had the same reaction in the morning - I love his eyes, but by god were they scary today with that expression
But still - that phrase just sounds so unhinged, especially from Arshi's mouth for Jhanak
Jhanak as a show is unhinged on multiple levels, which is why I love its clips

Also in Kaveri's case, everything in some way is related to winning or losing - be it control or a person's place in the family. She needs to always will in any game she plays, so being on backfoot makes her feels like she is not the one masterminding the game.
Vidya is just stuck in a horrible tyrannical society that most people do not want to associate themselves with anymore (coz even in the 16th century you had people with more progressive soch than Vidya)
