Many of you know me as the writer of Abhira’s Farewell. Lately, I have not updated my story as I am so frustrated by the current story line. It has demotivated me to a great extent. Anyways, today I wanted to talk a bit about the check giving act of Ruhi, and take your perspective on it.
We all know Ruhi is a master manipulator. She claims the check giving is to allow Abhira to pursue the job of her dreams. However, it is in fact the price to keep Abhira away from Armaan, until Ruhi becomes his wife. Deep down, she knows that Armaan and Abhira have connected on a deeper metaphysical level, and just that Armaan has yet to realize that. She fears that her plans will go caput if Armaan realizes this before the wedding, hence she is trying her level best to keep Abhira away from Armaan. After the wedding, she will have Armaan chained to her, and the poor chap will not be able to protest. He will be a forever a dumping devdas in his solitude, and Ruhi is ok with that, because she feels she will be able to make him forget about Abhira. However, the delulu doesn’t realize that if her 2 min maggi noodle love story got Armaan this far, how far will he go for someone he has been with for 9 months….
Abhira, on the other is shown reminded of Kaveri’s blind checks. However, another thought also crept in my mind hearing the convo that Ruhi had with Abhira. That Abhira relates those talks as the same as Armaan did when he equated her as an unwanted and unexpected burden. She no longer wants anyone to have anything to do with her future, least they come to taunt that it was because of their initial help she was able to achieve what she did…
I truly loved how gracefully she refused Ruhi. It was a glimpse of Akshu in her. She is her mother’s daughter after all.
