FF#1: "Tangled Hearts"

~Prologue~

(Suggestions, welcomed!)

Synopsis Prologue to the new story as follows.

Scene 1:

Two weeks ago,

As Abhira processed the revelation about Ruhi being Armaan's ex-girlfriend, a whirlwind of emotions churned within her. She couldn't help but feel a pang of hurt and insecurity at the thought of Armaan's past relationship, but she also recognized the sincerity in his apologetic gaze.

Armaan: (Softly) Abhira, I'm sorry I didn't tell you about Ruhi earlier. I didn't want to cause any unnecessary complications.

Abhira: (Nodding, trying to mask her own turmoil) It's okay, Armaan. I understand.

But while Armaan seemed genuinely remorseful, Ruhi's reaction told a different story. Abhira couldn't ignore the relief in Ruhi's demeanor, a sense of triumph glinting in her eyes.

Ruhi wasted no time in confronting Abhira, her tone laced with thinly veiled hostility.

Ruhi: (Coolly) So, you've finally found out about my past with Armaan. I hope you understand your place now, Abhira.

Abhira's guard went up instantly, her instincts warning her of Ruhi's ulterior motives.

Ruhi: Now you know what I mean by calling you a burden on Armaan?

Abhira wanted to ignore Ruhi, without wanting to hurt her, cautiously said.

Abhira: (Cautiously) What do you want, Ruhi?

Ruhi's smile widened, a hint of malice creeping into her tone.

Ruhi: (Mockingly) Oh, nothing much, Abhira. Just wanted to make sure you understand your place in Armaan's life. After all, it's just a contract marriage, isn't it?

Abhira felt a surge of anger rising within her at Ruhi's taunts, but she refused to let her show weakness.

Abhira: (Firmly) I know exactly what this marriage is, Ruhi. And I don't need your advice on how to handle it.

Ruhi's eyes narrowed, her mask of confidence slipping momentarily as Abhira's defiance caught her off guard.

Ruhi: (Attempting to regain control) You may think you know, Abhira, but trust me, you're just a temporary distraction for Armaan. He'll come back to me eventually. And now that you know it we don't have to hid it from you, it was frustrating us as it is.

Abhira's jaw clenched at Ruhi's audacity, her patience wearing thin.

Abhira: (Steely) I won't be anyone's distraction, Ruhi. And as for Armaan, he's made his choice. I suggest you respect it.

Ruhi's expression darkened at Abhira's defiance, but before she could retort, Abhira turned on her heel and walked away, leaving Ruhi seething with frustration.

As Abhira walked away, her mind racing with conflicting thoughts, she couldn't shake off the feeling of being caught in a web of deceit and manipulation.

She toned down her anger because she believed she came in between Armaan and his chit waali. But if that chit waali is Ruhi and if Ruhi will constantly be a sore...."Abhira ...no.... don't think about it...Armaan is a good friend of yours, just focus on your own."

Scene 2:

Abhira and Yuvraj's paths had once crossed in Mussoorie. Abhira remembered Yuvraj as a funny yet enigmatic character, his presence often bringing a burst of laughter to their mundane routines.

However, as time passed, Abhira gradually distanced herself from Yuvraj, sensing an underlying darkness beneath his jovial facade.

She had severed ties with him, choosing to move forward in life without looking back.

Armaan had also encountered Yuvraj when he was in Mussoorie meeting Abhira's mother, who happened to be Armaan's law school teacher, their paths had crossed. Armaan had caught glimpses of Yuvraj's troubled nature, a hint of obsession flickering in his eyes whenever Abhira was mentioned.

At that time, Armaan and Abhira were merely acquaintances, their lives on separate trajectories.

Yuvraj's relentless pursuit had escalated to a point where she no longer felt safe in his presence. Abhira couldn't shake off the feeling that he was somehow fixated on her.

Since she left Mussoorie, she was no more in contact wth him.

But;

One day, as Abhira was leaving her internship office, she spotted Yuvraj waiting for her by the exit. His eyes bore into her with an intensity that made her uncomfortable, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease wash over her.

As she approached, Yuvraj flashed her a charming smile, but there was something unsettling about the way he looked at her.

Yuvraj: (Smoothly) Hi!!! Abhira, fancy running into you here. How about we grab a coffee together?

Abhira's heart sank as she struggled to come up with an excuse to decline his offer, but before she could respond, Yuvraj's demeanor shifted, his smile turning into a dark smirk.

Yuvraj: (With a hint of menace) Or maybe you're too busy with your new husband to spare some time for an old friend?

Abhira's blood ran cold at the veiled threat in Yuvraj's words, but she forced a polite smile, desperately trying to maintain her composure.

Abhira: (Forcing a smile) I'm actually having plans with my husband tonight. But I'd love to catch up some other time, Yuvraj.

And Abhira left, hurriedly, with her group who were waiting for her.

Nice! I enjoyed reading it! I'm glad you included Yuvraj's character in this fanfiction. Please explore different layers of his character. The name of this story can be 'Broken heart' or 'New emotions'. Abhira is struggling with new emotions and her heart is broken due to the revelation in this story. That's why I'm suggesting these names.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Abhira's classes in her law college just got over. She was returning after submitting the hard copies of the assignments of the classmates that their teacher asked for, from her.

Just as she rounded a corner, she felt a firm grip on her arm, pulling her into the dimly lit confines of a secluded classroom.

Panic surged through her veins as she found herself face to face with Yuvraj, his dark eyes glinting with an unsettling intensity.

Yuvraj: (With a forced smile) Abhiraaaa, sweetheart, you can't keep avoiding me like this. We need to talk.

Abhira's heart hammered against her chest as she struggled to maintain her composure, her mind racing with fear and uncertainty.

Abhira: (Trembling slightly) Yuvraj, please, I-I don't want any trouble.

Yuvraj's smile faltered for a moment, a flicker of anger crossing his features before he composed himself once more.

Yuvraj: (In a deceptively calm tone) Trouble? Abhira, sweetheart, I'm just here to catch up with you. Is that too much to ask?

Abhira's throat constricted with fear as Yuvraj's words echoed in her ears. She knew she had to tread carefully.

Abhira: (Forcing a smile) Of course not, Yuvraj. I... I'd be happy to catch up with you.

Yuvraj's smile widened, but Abhira could sense the underlying tension in his demeanor.

Yuvraj: (Eagerly) Great! Let's go for that coffee I've been promising you.

Abhira's heart sank as Yuvraj offered to take her to the coffee shop. She knew she couldn't refuse without risking his anger, but she also couldn't bear the thought of being alone with him.

Abhira: (Desperately) Actually, Yuvraj, I just remembered I have plans to meet my husband for coffee tonight. But... but you're welcome to join us, if you'd like.

Yuvraj's expression darkened momentarily, but he quickly masked it with a false sense of cheerfulness.

Yuvraj: (With a tight smile) Oh, don't worry about me, Abhira. It will be a pleasure meeting your husband too. Just tell me the location, I will drive you there, okay!

As Yuvraj offered to drive Abhira to the coffee shop, her heart sank with trepidation. She had always prided herself on being independent, on handling her own problems without burdening others.

But now, as she faced Yuvraj's menacing presence, she realized that she was in over her head.

Abhira knew she had no choice but to reach out to Armaan for help. With trembling fingers, she hastily typed out a message, her words a silent plea for rescue.

"Meet me at the cafeteria. Urgent."

Her heart pounding as she hurriedly typed a text message to Armaan, praying that eventhough she pledged to herself that she will not take Armaan's help, can this please be the last time he would come to her rescue, from next she won't bother him, she thought to herself.

As she hit send, a wave of relief washed over her, knowing that Armaan would come to her aid. But mixed with that relief was a nagging sense of guilt, of shame for dragging him into her mess.

Yuvraj's smile widened with satisfaction, his eyes gleaming with a hint of triumph as Abhira followed him.

Abhira's stomach churned with unease as she reluctantly followed him out of the classroom and towards his car.

As they drove through the streets, the atmosphere in the car grew increasingly tense, the silence between them thick with unspoken tension.

Abhira's mind raced with fear and uncertainty, her eyes darting nervously to the passing scenery outside the window.

Yuvraj: (Turning to Abhira with a chilling smile) You know, Abhira, I've missed our conversations. Just the two of us, like old times.

Abhira forced a weak smile, her heart pounding in her chest as she struggled to maintain her composure.

Abhira: (Nervously) Yeah, it's been a while, hasn't it?

Yuvraj's smile widened, his gaze lingering on Abhira in a way that made her skin crawl.

Yuvraj: (Seductively) You know, Abhira, I've always admired your strength and independence. It's what drew me to you in the first place.

Abhira's breath caught in her throat at Yuvraj's words, her mind racing with fear and uncertainty. She knew she had to tread carefully, to placate him without arousing his suspicions. He is scary.

Abhira: (Forced cheerfulness) Thanks, Yuvraj. That means a lot.

As they approached the coffee shop, Abhira's heart sank with dread at the thought of what awaited her inside. She prayed silently that Armaan would arrive soon and rescue her from the clutches of Yuvraj.

🕛🕧🕐🕜🕑🕝🕒🕞🕓🕟🕔🕠🕕🕡🕖🕢🕗🕣

As Yuvraj and Abhira found themselves alone in a dimly lit corner of the cafe, a subtle tension hung in the air, masked beneath the facade of friendly conversation.

Yuvraj: (Smiling charmingly) Abhira, it's been too long. You're looking as radiant as ever.

Abhira: (Politely) Thank you, Yuvraj. It's nice to meet you too.

Yuvraj: (Leaning in slightly) Abhira, I couldn't help but notice how unhappy you seem lately. Is everything alright?

Abhira: (Trying to brush it off) Oh, it's nothing. Just some personal stuff.

Yuvraj: (Eying her intently) Personal stuff? Like your marriage with Armaan?

Abhira's heart skipped a beat at Yuvraj's directness, her guard going up instantly.

Abhira: (Defensively) What do you know about my marriage with Armaan?

Yuvraj: (Smirking knowingly) Let's just say, I have my sources. And I know that you deserve so much better than him.

Abhira: (Frowning) What are you trying to say, Yuvraj? And...And I am with Armaan.

Yuvraj: (Leaning back casually) I'm saying, Abhira, that I've always admired you. And I can't help but feel that you're wasting your time with Armaan when you could have so much more.

Abhira's stomach churned at Yuvraj's words, a mixture of unease and curiosity swirling within her.

Abhira: (Tentatively) Yuvraj, what are you getting at?

Yuvraj: (Leaning in conspiratorially) I'm saying, Abhira, that I could offer you everything you've ever wanted. All you have to do is say the word.

Abhira's breath caught in her throat at Yuvraj's audacity, her mind racing with conflicting emotions.

Abhira: (Voice trembling) I... I don't know what to say.

Yuvraj: (Smirking triumphantly) You don't have to say anything right now, Abhira. Just know that I'm here for you, whenever you're ready to make a change.

As Yuvraj's words echoed in her mind, Abhira couldn't shake off the feeling of being caught in a web of deceit and manipulation.

And as she looked into Yuvraj's eyes, she couldn't help but wonder if there was more to his offer than met the eye, a dark undercurrent of obsession lurking beneath his charming facade.

Yuvraj started laughing as he directed Abhira's attention towards the far end of the room, where she saw Armaan sitting with ..... another... girl in the cafeteria?

As Yuvraj's laughter filled the air, Abhira felt a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach, her hopes dashed as she saw Armaan sitting in the far end of the room, accompanied by another girl.

Her heart sank as she struggled to make sense of what she was seeing. Wasn't Armaan supposed to be here for her? Hadn't she reached out to him for help?

A surge of hurt and disappointment washed over her, mingling with the fear and uncertainty that already clouded her mind.

Yuvraj's mocking laughter echoed in her ears, his eyes filled with a cruel amusement as he watched her reaction.

As Abhira squinted her eyes to get a clearer view of the girl sitting with Armaan, her heart sank as she recognized her. It was none other than Ruhi, Armaan's ex-girlfriend. She felt a lump form in her throat as she tried to swallow back the tears threatening to spill over. She let go of her pride asking for Armaan's help, for this?

Abhira felt a surge of anger rising within her, but it was quickly overshadowed by a deep sense of betrayal. She had trusted Armaan, relied on him to come to her rescue, for this?
