Secondly, the show was under the scanner. The opening started with a 1.6 TRP. People were rejecting the leads and trolling them. I actually have mixed opinion regarding this. I m abhira Sharma's fan but i have no problem with Pratiksha getting a role. I don't think she is bad actress.
Not knowing how to act doesn't mean she is a bad actor. I mean, if I was new to acting, i wouldn't even be able to spontaneously cry like that .
She is just 3-4 months in a new profession. Not a pratiksha/roohi fan at all, & m not justifying her mediocre acting. I don't think newcomers shouldn't get roles, but instead of directly hiring someone new as a parallel lead/2nd lead of a massive show as Yeh rishta, (which doesn't make sense) , Pratiksha should have got a small role as it's her debut show, something like Kiara or Krish, instead of directly parallel lead, when she has no idea how to act. So that she could learn acting and in her second show, she could have been the parallel lead.

Goenkas will emotionally manipulate Abhira to sacrifice her love for Ruhi ....I am a kind of sure since we all know how selfish and mean are Goenkas really are 
and as in abhira's interview...she told that ruhi pushed her away....abhira should know it's only her jethji who c a n console her and jethji must be dying to do it...why did you get in between abhira...you have got enough hints to know that this ain't just friendship...you yourself forgot hat happened during dance...u r making fool of yourself...and as m getting pissed off seeing you becoming a fool....lol sometimes I feel we audience have become so possessive of you..as if you are our family member going through this...kudos to samriddhi, the actress for making cry for you, laugh with you, smile for you, be happy with youOriginally posted by: Docworld

Can’t agree more , I don’t really get connected much with any of the actors even if I like their characters in the show ,but this girl makes me love Abhira more after every episode with her tremendous acting. I really hope they and part don't go into delulu that all success is because of them...and that ruhi has become the focal point and main lead...all the bits...iff shown as it is..the trp aunties will all sympathise with her and say that abhira should actually go away from between the lovers...are they actually thinking to gaug red audience reaction and based on that make ruhi the lead...in eyes of trp audience...i see my father in law say...poir ruhi...if abhira us sosmart...she should go away..she is not an ideal bahu like ruhi...seeing this..may be rishta directors are changing their minds and keeping all options open.

So technically Abhira is casted as Lead..
But if trp audiences are more connected to ruhi than yes there is no 2nd thought that show will become about ru-ar...
But I don't think majority of aydience would be liking thus jeth-bhaujayi angle..
But itv mein kuch keh nhi sakte..
Thats why I am not much into AbhiMaan baad mein dukh ho usse acha pehle hi sambhal ke chalo..
But I amvery much interested in Abhira..
And sam is so good in her art that anybody paied opposite her will automatically be liked...🙂
